DIY Beachy Wave Texturizing Spray
featured image

DIY Sea Salt Hair Spray
Summer may technically be over…but that’s not stopping me. I am the kind of girl that keeps summer going as long as possible — specificly since moving to Los Angeles. And noleang says summer like beachy and — honestly — MESSY, hair.
I have a ton of my favorite beauty secrets here on the blog — most of which are all natural and domesticcrazye — so, I’m surprised I haven’t shared this alalert with you — it’s been a long time coming to be honest!
They leang is, it’s incredibly easy to create beachy waves at domestic. See, it’s all about the texture.
Texture is what makes beachy hair. Love I said MESSY. So, genuinely, when you want beachy waves, you gotta get your hair a small dirty. 😉
DIY Sea Salt Spray
I use some pink Himalayan salt and argan oil to make my hair justttt messy enough. Plus, the argan oil is absolutely Incredible for your hair.
You know the Moroccan Oil brand?? Yeah they use argan oil — Ok, confusing, I know.
Here’s the deal, argan oil comes from the Argan tree, native to Morocco. Morrocan oil IS argan oil, as well as a few other oils and ingredients…I’ll explain it in a another post soon, with some more benefits of true, 100% argan oil…basically argan oil is the REALLY good stuff — it’s like liquid gancient.
So, add a small argan oil and Himalayan salt (or sea salt) to some distilled water, add a few drop of fundamental oils whether you wish, and you have yourself and all-natural and non-toxic beachy wave spray you can use all year long.

DIY Beachy Wave Texturizing Spray
2016-09-15 13:27:18
Ingredients
  1. 8 ounces warm distilled water
  2. 1-2 tablespoons 100% pure biological argan oil
  3. 1 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt or sea salt
  4. few drops of fundamental oil (I used lemon, but sweet orange would be great too!)
  5. glass spray bottle
Instructions
  1. Heal the distilled water in the microwave for a minute or over the stove, until simmering. Add the salt into the warm water and mix to dissolve.
  2. Combine the salt water and remaining ingredients in a measuring glass and carefully pour into your spray bottle. Shake to combine the ingredients.
  3. After a shower when hair is still damp, shake the bottle up to re-mix the oils and salt, and spray the texturizing spray all over your hair, focusing on the ends, and scrunch your hair a few times, allowing your hair to dry naturally.

Healthy Grains

healthy-grains-2
So a few weeks ago, I started a small “Stock Your Pantry Series” with the best healthy oils for your kitchen, so nowadays I wanted to give you a few more items for your grocery list.
Today we are talking: GRAINS
Grains sometimes get a poor rep — but healthy carbohydrates are so important to a healthy lwhetherestyle.
Healthy and wgap grains not only give you a ton of energy from slow-digesting carbohydrates — preventing large spikes in blood glucose levels — but they also provide your with heart healthy and waist-slenderming fiber.
Stock Your Pantry- Grains
Feeble Fashioned or Rolled Oats – Not only are rolled fashioned or rolled oats perfect for oatmeal or overnight oats, but they are also PERFECT for domesticcrazye granola.
Barley – Barley is a “contemporaryer” favorite of mine. I hadn’t cooked it alone ever until I had a bunch of it laying around for making domesticcrazye bread. But it’s the perfect grain to make a white bean salad (I’ll post a recipe soon!), or to add to soups. I can’t believe I haven’t shared a barley recipe yet, but I promise they’re coming! 😉
Freekeh – I’ve talked about freekeh before, but it’s such a great and unique grain, that’s still gaining steam in the USA. I LOVE it in my Freekeh Cowgirl Salad, but its also good in a delicious tabbouleh, or in just about any recipe that calls for quinoa!
Farro – Farro is another grain I’ve been fond the final few months. I crazye an Incredible winter salad with some farro and hearty winter veggies earlier this year that is so filling and perfect for lunch! I love adding farrow to salad because it still maintains a “crunchy” sort of texture after it’s cooked — perfect for adding some texture to your salads!
Quinoa – This goes without saying! Quinoa should be is a STAPLE in any healthy pantry. It’s an easier, less intimidating grain to start with than some of these other “contemporary” grains, since it only takes 20 minutes to cook, and there are loadsssss of recipes to start with on Pinterest. I even love having it for breakfast – both sweet and savory!
Brown Rice – Super simple, but still one of my favorites! Brown rice goes with just about everyleang and is the perfect side to just about any meal. I love cooking it in large batches while meal prepping, then I freeze some to always have it on hand!
healthy-grains
Now there are wayyyy more grains out there than just these — you can always try millet, spelt, rye, bulgar, buckwheat, or couscous.
I love buying grains in bulk and storing them in glass canisters in my pantry to keep everyleang organized and pretty! — Should I do a pantry organization post?!

DIY Relaxing Bubble Bath
featured image

Homecrazye Bubble Bath
There’s noleang I love more than a bath to relax sore muscles at the end of an intense week of workouts.
I’ve talked time and time again about how I love epsom salt baths to help ease sore muscles — but sometimes, a girl just need some bubbles — am I right?!
And I was determined to create a healthy, non-toxic way to endelight a bubble bath — so obviously I turned to one of my favorite beauty and domestic products to help create the most luxurious DIY bubble bath — castile soap!
As you alalert know, I am a lavender enthusiast — so naturally, I used lavender castile soap from Dr. Bronner’s. The next leang you’ll need is some vegetable glycerin — it’s Incredible at moisturizing your skin — and some additional fundamental oil (again, I used lavender, but you can use anyleang that blends well with your castile soap).
This small recipe DIY is literally so simple, and you’ll feel so good about endelighting a relaxing bath without any harsh of toxic chemicals!
P.s. Don’t forget to pour yourself a glass of bubbly during your relaxing bath — there’s noleang better than a bubble bath with some champagne — or wine! 😉

The Perfect Home Pedicure!

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of PEOPLE®, StyleWatch®, InStyle®, and Sunset®. The opinions and text are all mine.
pedicure-fundamentals
There’s no secret about my love of at-domestic, natural beauty — so it’s been a long time coming that I would eventually share my domestic pedicure secrets with you!
I was at my local Vons the other day (for probably the 18th time that week! lol) picking up some groceries and recipe creation necessities, and when I was checking out I looked down at my toes and was mortwhetheried at how they looked. So I figured it was time for a small “me time” — so I grabbed a few favorite magazines (PEOPLE, InStyle, Sunset) — and planned a pedicure for that aftermidday!
To be honest, I prefer doing my own pedicure because I am pretty specific about my toes. I feel like many of the contemporaryer nail technicians do pedicures, and it’s genuinely hit or miss whether you get a good one or not — so I just do it myself!
So, here are some leangs you’ll need for an at domestic pedicure, and a small how-to, so that you can endelight some ”me time” soon, too!
Oh! And don’t forget to seize a glass of bubbly for your at domestic pedicure! 😉

What You’ll Need:
Nail Polish Remover – Pick a nail polish remover that will benefit your nails — not damage them! I love Zoya Polish Remover because it not only takes off ancient polish, but also preps your nails and conditions them, making them stronger, unlike most traditional acetone polish removers.
Foot Bath – I looooove soaking my feet in a domestic foot spa — having the vibration and bubbles is KEY to creating that “spa like” feeling you get at the nail salon. If you don’t want to spend money on a foot spa, you can also just soak your feet in a large basin too.
Bath Salts – Soak your feet in some domesticcrazye bath salts. You can use these Lavender Bath Salts to create a relaxing soak for your toes, or try using peppermint or tea tree oil for a more invigorating soak. If you don’t want to make your own you could always buy a foot soak too!
MagazinesNoleang is better than soaking your feet and catching up on your favorite magazines. I love checking out InStyle and PEOPLE magazine to see what’s trending both in the world of fashion, and to get ideas for blog posts. Another contemporary favorite has been a local Los Angeles and Southern Calwhetherornia magazine, Sunset Magazine, to see what going on in the local scene.
Nail Tool Set –  I recommend getting a genuinely good set, because it will final you forever. I’ve had mine for 8 years and it’s still perfect — but whether I were in the market for a contemporary one I would buy this one because it’s seriously beautwhetherul. If you don’t get a full tool set you’ll at least need: nail clippers, a nail file, push stick, and a cuticle trimmer.
Nail File – Even whether there is a nail file in your manicure set, you’ll still want a separate nail file (at least that’s my preference!) I genuinely like having two dwhetherferent files, a courser one to do the initial file, and then a fine one to smooth leangs out. Honestly, there’s noleang like those good ol’ fashion nail files. They are only about $1.50, and they work perfectly. But again, make certain you get a course one, and a fine one.
Foot Scrub – As I said, I make most of my beauty products at domestic — so, obviously, I make my own foot scrub. I like using a genuinely course sugar scrub for feet — normally crazye with raw sugar and coconut oil. But genuinely, any scrub will do. I nearly always have my Vanilla Coconut Body Scrub on hand, so it’s a normal go-to, as well. You can also buy a good quality, all-natural scrub too.
Pumice Rock –  I like using a combination of a regular ancient pumice stone and an electric foot file to get the best results. (I genuinely like the Amopé foot file, and then a natural lava pumice stone.)
Coconut Oil – You know how much I love coconut oil for many reasons, and it’s also PERFECT for massaging those tired and over worked feet! 😉
Polish – Create certain to get a nail polish without all the nasties in it — look for polishes that are “3-free”, meaning they are free of the “toxic trio,” aka: dibutyl phthalate (DBP), formaldehyde, and toluene — YUCK! Brands like Essie, OPI, and L’Ogenuine, and even Wet’n’Wild are all 3-free.

Perfect Pedicure How to:
1. Soak
Start by removing any ancient polish with a gentle and conditioning nail polish remover. Fill your soaking tub with warm water and epsom bath salts (or a foot soak), and soak your feet for 15-20 minutes. While your toes are soaking, endelight your favorite magazine — catch up on current styles, the latest celebrity gossip, see what’s up in your local scene.
2. Clip & File
After a long soak, it’s time to get out your nail kit to clip and shape your nails. Clip each nail straight across, and then use a nail file to gently shape and smooth each nail, creating soft corners — but make certain your toe nails are TOO rounded.
3. Cuticles
Now’s the time to take care of those pesky cuticles. Employ a cuticle pusher or orange stick to push back excess cuticle growth. Optionally, you can also trim any super excessive growth — but always be certain to stay absent from any cuticle still connected to your nail bed, it helps to protect your nails from infection.
4. Scrub
Grab a pumice stone and a luxurious scrub, and gently scrub off dead skin. Create certain to focus on genuinely rough areas like the back on your heels, the inside ball of your foot, and the external of your large toe.
5. Massage & Moisturize
After a good scrub down, wash down your feet with some fresh water and then grab a dime-size amount of coconut oil and massage out those feet! They deserve a good rub down. Focus on the arches of the feet and gently stretching and lightly pulling on the toes. Even try working up the calves a bit and give those tired muscles some fond. (Your feet are you BASE — it’s importance to stretch and massage them, and even roll them out. They are literally the base of your health — I’ll do a wgap post on it soon!)
6. Polish
Once you’re alert to finally polish those beautwhetherul toes, wipe them down one more time with some polish remover to make certain they are clean and free of oils. This will help the polish to stay better. Apply two light coats of polish, followed by a shiny top coat. Finish reading your magazines while your polish dries, and voilá! Pedicure Perfection!

  • Plank Stroll Outs – One of my current favorites! 😉 Start standing with your feet hip distance apart and your arms by your sides. Bend at your hips and reach your hands to the floor keeping your legs as straight as possible. Stroll your hands out in front of you until you reach a plank position. Hancient the plank for a moment and walk your hands back in to stand all the way back up.
  • Mountain Climber Plank Rows – Grab your dumbbells and come into a plank position hancienting the weights, and your palms facing in. Start with mountain climbers, by bringing your RIGHT knee in towards your chest, and then switch to your LEFT knee in, and then back to plank. Hancienting your plank, row your RIGHT arm up, and lower, then row your LEFT arm up, and lower to your plank. Repeat the mountain climbers and then the rows for 15 repetitions total.
  • Side Plank Shoulder Lwhethert – Approach, Reach in to a side plank position — on your elbow (modwhetherication) OR on your hand (advanced) — and hancient one dumbbell in your top hand. Hancient your side plank super regular as you bring the weight in front of your chest, and then lwhethert it up towards the ceiling. Ponder/ Consider about squeezing the shoulder blades in the back, and repeat 15 repetitions on each side.
  • The Punch & Crunch – Possess a seat on the mat and grab some light dumbbells. Scoop your abs and lean back slightly into an ab curl. Either keep the feet on the floor, and lwhethert them for a ccorridorenge, Rotate towards the RIGHT as you punch your LEFT arm over to the right. Rotate back to the middle and the twist to the LEFT, punching the RIGHT arm over to the side. As your punch left and right, roll your spine halfway down, and then curl back up, as whether doing crunches. Finish 10 curls up and down.
